Confessions of a Golf Professional
It was a cold, damp and dark day at Arbutus Ridge Golf & Country Club. To make things worse, I was about 109 over par when I reached the long uphill 16th, and proceeded to snap hook my drive about 180 yards off the tee.
By the time I had got to my ball I was about to break through my 4 layers of clothes, leaving me only in my scantily clad briefs, which amazingly (and fortunately, as it was about three degrees) managed to stretch to fit the new muscle-bound form I had transformed into.
I don't even remember my second shot, but it wasn't good and that uncontrollable rage took over and sent that club spiraling through the air some 10 yards..20 yards..30 yards.ever closer to my playing partners head, and finally coming to rest about 2 yards from him.
From that moment, my anger on the golf course has been limited to four letter words and self-depreciating comments that go well beyond the "I should be using my Nana's clubs", "I'm selling my clubs when I get home", "I'm never playing this game again" and perhaps the most popular, "Golf isn't a real sport anyway". Anyway, I've confused myself with such a longwinded story that I've forgotten the moral.

Rumble in the Wat - Five Thai buddhist monks from two rival temples have been defrocked after they were involved in a rumble in Nong Khai.
One of the monks, who was a little confused with the whole buddhist thing, regularly carried knuckle dusters in his shoulder bag but at least had good reasoning "If senators can fight in parliament, why can't monks?" Who can argue with that.
